Thousands of visitors from all over the world flock to it and once you experience it for yourself, you'll see why! Carnival Corsos and flower battles bring Nice to life from February 11th to 26th. This year is extra special as the Nice Carnival celebrates its 150th anniversary. Nice Carnival schedule:
1- The 150th anniversary great parade
The 2023 Nice Carnival gets under way at 2.30pm on February 11th with the 150th anniversary Great Parade. It promises to be quite a show with carnival and flower floats alongside performance artists. The 150th anniversary Great Parade will have a special guest: the Rio Carnival.
2- Illuminated Carnival Corso
At 8.30pm on Saturday and Tuesday, the floats light up to illuminate the carnival parade and put on a 1.5 hr show. Children and adults will be dazzled by the sounds and lights.
3- Flower Battle
It's time to unleash some flower power! Take part in the famous flower battle on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday afternoon. Actors and artists in incredible costumes join the floats adorned with floral designs and throw flowers at spectators.
4- Lou Queernaval
In keeping with tradition in Nice, Friday February 17th sees the biggest gay carnival in France come to town. A carnival experience celebrating and embracing togetherness, inclusion and diversity. A show-stopping event with feathers, glitz and make-up for the kind of over-the-top parade we all love.
